Need to get out of the house? Take a drive of Franklin County Barn Quilts.

First, no; they are not quilts keeping cows warm. The Franklin County Barn Quilt Trail consists of 300+ painted quilt blocks on structures in Franklin County and beyond, mapped for you to drive by. They are all visible from public roads. This opportunity was first inspired by a Sheldon resident’s trip through Elkhart, Indiana’s barn quilt painting region. This is much the spirit of the gorgeous painted hex barn art of SE Pennsylvania Dutch region, which is done ‘just for nice’. Use their online map. Of course, please respect private property and use every safety precaution when pulling over to admire them.  And, if you see some land for sale that you want more information about, contact us!
